Uzbekistan & Central Asia, Contemporary Art

Step into the region's art world, the way we know it

We open doors that usually take years of local relationships to reach: studios, private collections, conversations with the people who shape this region's art scene.

About

Access built on relationships, not routes

Uzbekistan's contemporary art scene has drawn growing international attention in recent years. What's harder to find is a genuine way in: introductions to the curators, artists and collectors who define it, rather than a fixed sightseeing schedule.

Each program is shaped around the person taking it: their field, their existing network, what would be useful to see and who to meet, rather than a route we repeat for every guest.

In practice, that can mean time in an artist's studio mid-project, a private viewing of a collection rarely open to visitors, or a conversation with someone who has worked in this field for decades. Access that usually comes only from already being part of the community.

Institutional work Programming for museums, biennials and research groups that need substance, not a sightseeing add-on
Trusted by the field Worked with collectors and curators recognized among the art world's most influential voices
Based in the region Curators, researchers and practitioners living and working across Central Asia
A note from the founder
"Colleagues and peers visiting the region would often ask for an introduction to an artist or a studio I knew well. Curated Visits grew out of that, a way to offer the same access more formally, to a wider circle."

Bekzod has spent years curating exhibitions, developing residency programs and advising galleries across Uzbekistan and Central Asia. Curated Visits draws on those same relationships, connecting visitors with the artists, curators and collectors who make up the region's contemporary art scene.

08

Creative city walks

The neighborhoods, cafés and bookstores where the creative community actually spends its time.

Services

Beyond the on-site program

Not every engagement requires travel. These are ways to work with us remotely, before a visit, or on an ongoing basis.

01

Advisory & consulting

A video consultation on the current landscape: which artists and spaces are worth your attention right now, market context and whether an in-person visit makes sense at all.

02

Pre-visit research & briefing

A written dossier prepared ahead of your trip: relevant artists and institutions for your specific interest, current exhibitions worth prioritizing and background you won't find compiled elsewhere.

03

On-the-ground accompaniment

A curator or researcher travels with you throughout your visit, present in meetings, providing context in real time and handling anything that requires local language or relationships.

04

Acquisition & sourcing support

For collectors moving from viewing to acquiring: identifying the right work, facilitating direct contact with the artist or gallery and advising on the practical side of a cross-border purchase.

05

Institutional partnership development

Ongoing advisory for museums and foundations exploring something longer-term, such as a residency exchange, a co-curated exhibition, or a formal relationship with an institution in the region.

06

Delegation & program management

Full logistics for corporate or VIP groups: private receptions, exhibition openings arranged around your visit and a program that holds up at a formal, high-level standard.

07

Continued access

After your visit, a standing point of contact: updates when an artist you met has new work, an introduction that becomes relevant later, or ongoing monitoring of a specific area of interest.
